Professional Development Across the Professions

A Seminar on March 1st at John Wiley & Sons, Melbourne
On Thursday March 1st in Melbourne, at the ‘Professional Development Across the Professions’ seminar (held at the John Wiley & Sons offices), experts in technology, education theory and research, and from a broad range of disciplines will share their practical, ‘applied’ insights with delegates.

  • Techniques. Research evidence that supports modern techniques and approaches in adult learning and professional development
  • Technologies. New technologies that create an optimal, adaptive professional development experience online
  • Experiences. Experiences shared across the professions, to help inform delegates and aid their organisations in developing pathways in professional development (eg medicine; accountancy; human resources; psychology)

This Seminar is designed for executives and managers of education and training at professional associations and institutes, Colleges and registration bodies; members of education committees within membership associations, Colleges, and societies; managers of professional development and performance within private and state-funded organisations.

Our Program
Our program will be posted soon. We will circulate regular updates in the weeks to follow, and expect a final program in early February.

Also: The Conjoint Medical Education Seminar
Of interest to medical delegates, the Conjoint Medical Education Seminar  is being held the previous day by the RACS/RCPSC/RACP. There will be no expectation that delegates attending the Wiley ‘Professional Development Across the Professions’ seminar will have attended the RACS/RCPSC/RACP Conjoint Seminar. But we have developed our program to complement the Conjoint Seminar, to take discussions onwards for delegates who decide to attend both.

Posters: Submit yours
We welcome submission of posters to be displayed during our Seminar that illustrate areas of expertise, interest, or research in professional development and adult learning. Full details are here
